Benjamin D Foley, D.D.S.

Dr. Benjamin FoleyBenjamin Foley was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado and graduated from Fairview High School. In 2005, Dr. Foley graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in Denver and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. He received his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee and served as Chief Resident in his final year. He then joined his father’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice in July 2013. In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 he was named as one of Boulder‘s top dentists by 5280 magazine.

Dr. Foley is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and maxillofacial Surgeons. He also served as the president of the Boulder Broomfield County Dental society. He has medical staff privileges at Boulder Community Hospital and the UCHealth Longs  Peak Surgery Center. He is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Dr. Foley provides a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical care with emphasis on dental-alveolar surgery, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) and trauma to the facial skeleton. He has been trained in the most technologically advanced forms of treatment of the facial bones utilizing CT-guided Virtual Surgical Planning.

Outside of the office, Dr. Foley volunteers his time teaching Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Colorado Dental School and serving on mission trips with the Belize Mission Project. Dr. Foley also donates his services treating patients through the Donated Dental Network and uninsured/underserved students from the Boulder Valley School District.

Dr. Foley has co-authored three professional papers, co-authored a chapter in the textbook, “The Osteoperiosteal Flap: A Simplified Approach to Alveolar Bone Reconstruction,” and given presentations and abstracts on bone grafting, mandibular reconstruction and CT guided Virtual Surgical Planning in orthognathic surgery at national and international conferences.

Dr. Foley’s hobbies include traveling with his wife Anna and two children Lily and Daniel, fly fishing, skiing, golf, playing the violin, camping, hiking and following the Colorado Buffaloes. While in college he lettered for four years on the Gonzaga University Men’s Crew Team.
